Forward Medical Weight Loss Is Now Forward Healthy Lifestyles!
Forward Healthy Lifestyles is a Regenerative Therapy and Weight Loss Clinic located in Germantown, WI serving Menomonee Falls, Mequon, West Bend, Brookfield and surrounding areas. Our approach to improving not only your health, but the way you feel and your ability to enjoy your life is our goal for each and every patient. Because so many people deal with the pain and discomfort of osteoarthritis and joint pain, we have worked hard to find the highest quality of Regenerative Therapy.
Lindsay CarmodyMSN, FNP-BC, APNP
For 10 years Lindsay served in a busy orthopedic operating room and was responsible for organizing and assisting in more than 2500 joint replacements per year. Some of these procedures included correcting failed surgeries from other institutions. During this time, Lindsay came to appreciate just how detrimental a failed surgical outcome is for the patient. Lindsay knew there had to be an alternative way to treat degenerative joints without the inherent risks and failure rates associated with surgery. Her research led her to Regenerative Therapy. Lindsay has performed hundreds of Regenerative Therapy procedures, and the revolutionary impact of Regenerative Therapy has changed the lives of her patients. The results she has observed from her patients’ outcomes are nothing short of astonishing. “Treating my patients with Regenerative Therapy as a viable option to joint replacement surgery has been incredibly rewarding. We can always operate, but we can’t un-operate. Our goal is to help our patients as conservatively as possible.”
As an executive coordinator for both Orthopedic Surgeons and Neurosurgeons, Lindsay was the go-to nurse practitioner for assembling surgical teams. With specialized training in cardiology and cardio-thoracic surgery from the Wisconsin Heart Hospital, Lindsay also managed patient care before and after heart surgery. Known for her speed and ability to expedite with precision, she is an expert at collecting objective patient medical data, and quickly interpreting it into a functional plan to assist in surgical procedures, maintain healthy patient outcomes, and help save lives. Lindsay is a rising Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine Fellow through the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (a4m).
Our approach to improving not only your health, but the way you feel and your ability to enjoy your life pain free is our goal for each and every patient. Because so many people deal with the pain and discomfort of osteoarthritis and joint pain, we have worked hard to find the highest quality of stem cells available for this cutting-edge therapy.
During her years of experience in the operating room, she began to notice a trend, and became frustrated and saddened at the obesity epidemic, and the death rates directly associated with obesity complications like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and organ failures. So in 2013, Lindsay was motivated to do something about it, and started Forward Medical Weight Loss – a destination for scientifically-valid and integrative approaches to weight management including use of HCG, B12 shots, Phentermine, vitamin therapies, and full Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapies (HRT), designed to regulate the body’s metabolism in healthy adults as we function daily, and progress through time. Now inspired and focused, she continues to help others by creating a mutually comprehensive plan with her patients to successfully deliver the results and goals they are looking to achieve.
Dr. James Joseph completed his medical school studies at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (1994-1998). He then went on to complete a Family Medicine residency through Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1998-2001. He has now been in clinical practice for about 18 years.
In 2010, he awakened to the exciting new field of Anti-Aging Medicine. Anti-Aging Medicine encompasses evidence based strategies that can help people dramatically achieve more vitality and youthfulness. Three categories of Anti-Aging medicine include Cosmetic Medicine, Regenerative Medicine, and Hormone Optimization. Examples of Cosmetic Medicine include advanced laser therapies to treat facial pigmentation issues, scarring, and wrinkles, facial injections to correct facial sagging, and body contouring with fat transfer lip sculpture to help shape the breasts and buttocks (“taking fat from areas of the body you don’t want it and putting it into areas that you do want it”).
In 2012, he completed a stem cell harvesting training course through the prominent Ageless Institute in Adventura, FL, and later went on to complete the first ever Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine Fellowship in 2016 through his membership in the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (a4m). This field is called Regenerative Medicine. Regenerative Medicine represents the most exciting part of Anti-Aging Medicine as it allows for the possibility to enhance the body to regenerate itself. This can be used for cosmetic purposes as well as help manage diseases. Examples of cosmetic treatments include solutions for Alopecia (hair thinning), Erectile Dysfunction, and Vaginal Atrophy.
Dr. Joseph has also treated advanced diseases with human stem cells as a sub investigator of a university backed research study including Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and other autoimmune diseases, Parkinson’s Disease, and Chronic Pulmonary Obstructive Disease. A third category of Anti-Aging Medicine is Hormone Optimization. It can be said that as our hormones decline so does our body and mind. Hormone Optimization uses evidence based medicine and the use of Bio-Identical Hormones (exactly as nature created them) and Peptides (natural cell-signaling molecules) to help maintain the physiology of a 25 year old in order to preserve vitality and youthfulness safely and effectively into the middle and later years of life. Dr. Joseph works with Acara Partners to insure his services meet state and local guidelines while generating excellent patient satisfaction.
Dr. Joseph A. Locke DO, DAAPM
Doctor Locke began his education at Colorado State University and completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Food Science. His understanding of the complexity of nutritional biochemistry allowed him to develop a unique understanding of how our daily dietary habits can affect our core health. With this education, he decided to move forward and practice medicine in order to improve health outreach. He is a graduate from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He residency training was an anesthesiology specialty at the Medical College of Wisconsin and is a Diplomate for the American Academy of Integrative Pain Management, which led him to utilize many areas of musculoskeletal medicine to achieve improvements in physical function. His training for prolotherapy regenerative medicine was accomplished with the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine and stem cell treatment education through the Orthobiologic Institute. Doctor Locke has been performing interventional spinal and musculoskeletal pain injection techniques to treat various pain disorders for close to 10 years. He has 4 years of experience performing hundreds of regenerative medicine procedures with stem cell biologics in order to treat patients orthopedic pain problems with cutting edge science.
